The 71st National Film Awards honoured the finest of Indian cinema for films released in 2023 in a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, where President Droupadi Murmu presented the awards. Mohanlal was conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award; major acting honours went to Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey (Best Actor) and Rani Mukerji
